About Shannen

I have been working professionally with animals for over a decade, with a background in veterinary technology, pet grooming, and pet care.

When I became a part of the dog training community, I immediately fell in love with the line of work, and I felt like I found my calling knowing I could help the lives of dogs and their owners using patience and positivity.

Now, with over 15,000+ hours of training experience with dogs of all ages and sizes, I feel confident I can help you find the connection with your dog that you've been looking for.

I am Certified in Applied Animal Behavior through the University of Washington, I am an AKC Evaluator, and a supporting member of the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants.

Through my certification, I participated in a rigorous and challenging course of study participated by students from around the world relating modern Behavioral Ecology Theory to dealing with companion animal issues. This program equipped me to provide owners insights and solutions to their issues for their pets and to provide expert witness support in matters of civil and criminal litigation.

I follow a LIMA based approach (least intrusive, minimally aversive) when working with behavioral issues, and put love and care into each individualized behavioral modification plan.

I use positive, modernized methods that practice love, patience, and compassion when working with dogs to help teach them to be the best they can be.
